The 'Expansion Pitch' comprises of six beautifully crafted, high quality resin terrain pieces suitable for medieval football miniatures games, supplied unpainted and without flock/tufts/trees/water effects:
X1 Rocky obstruction (approx 2.5"x3.5")
X1 Slippy ground area (approx 2.5"x4")
X1 Small woodland area template (approx 5" diameter)
X1 Small pond (approx 4" diameter)
x2 Small walls (approx 2"x0.75")
The rocky obstruction provides a medium footprint for gaming purposes and is therefore prominent in the game, but not too intrusive, it will provide a great tactical element whilst blocking line of sight and being impassable.
The slippy ground area will provide players with a potential speed boost whilst depicting a sloppy wet mud patch consistent with a medieval football game setting.
The pond could be classed as a fast or slow terrain piece depending on your view point, it would look great painted as a frozen water feature - fast ice!
The two small walls again have a relatively small footprint to minimise their obstructing nature, enough to pose a tactical challenge, but not too big to dominate the game. Perfect for medieval football!
The small woodland template provides an area of terrain designated as a wood, often essential in blocking line of sight and creating an interesting element for gaming around. It should be noted that the small woodland template does not include any trees.
The Expansion Pitch set is designed to intermix with the Starter Pitch set. No two pieces are the same in either set, so a great variety can be achieved. The terrain pieces are not just exclusively suited to medieval football miniatures games; they can be used in a great many 28mm skirmish war games.
SGS medieval football pitch terrain pieces are made from durable polyurathane resin which can easily be painted and look fantastic on the table top. Painted examples show how the terrain can look when finished, for handy tips and guides see our basic guidelines page.
